Install it for whatever you have
Phones and Android televisions pull it from Google Play. A Firestick wants the Downloader sideload, which the Firestick guide sets out step by step. Tizen and webOS sets list it in their own stores as IPTV Smarters. Apple hardware calls it IPTV Smarters Player. Desktop installers come from the developer site rather than a store.
Choose Login with Xtream Codes API
Accept the terms on the first screen, then take the Xtream Codes option. Ignore the M3U route unless support has pointed you at it, because Xtream pulls down the guide and the on-demand library by itself while M3U frequently does not, and a sports line-up without a guide is close to unusable.
Enter the three values
Any profile name will do. Then the username, password and server URL exactly as sent, keeping the http:// and the port. Tap Add User. If the login fails once, type rather than paste: copied text from a chat window often brings a trailing space with it.
Wait for the guide to fill in
It downloads channels, on-demand titles and the schedule data. The guide can take several minutes to populate properly, so do not judge it on the first thirty seconds. Under Settings, then EPG, switch on "Enable EPG on live TV" so the schedule is visible while a channel plays.
Set the player engine
Settings, Player settings, then the built-in player with hardware decoding. If one channel stutters while everything else behaves, change that single channel to software decoding from the player menu rather than altering the global setting and upsetting the rest.
Repeat it on the other screens
The same three values work everywhere, so the second and third devices take about two minutes each. This is the point at which most households set up a phone and a tablet as well, which costs nothing extra as long as the plan covers the streams you actually run at once.
Turn on the guide overlay before the weekend
Under Settings, EPG, enable the schedule on live TV. Without it you are switching channels blind, which on a Saturday with several fixtures running is how people miss the start of the one they wanted.
Get it open before the coverage starts
Launch the app during the build-up rather than at kick-off, so the guide refreshes and the buffer fills before the surge. This costs nothing and prevents the commonest complaint we receive, which is a stream that stuttered for the first two minutes and then behaved perfectly.
When it goes wrong, and why
"Your account is expired"
Nothing is broken; the term has run out. Send a renewal over WhatsApp and the same credentials come back to life within minutes. No reinstall, no reconfiguration, and the favourites you built survive intact.
The channel list is empty after a successful login
Pull to refresh, then sign out and in again. If it stays bare, the server address is wrong somewhere and the port is the usual culprit. A login accepted with no channels nearly always means the app found a server, just not ours.
The app keeps closing on a Firestick
Clear its cache under Settings, Applications, Manage installed applications, then reopen. If it persists, remove it and install a current build. An old APK on newer Fire OS is a common cause and no amount of reconfiguring fixes it.
The guide shows the wrong kick-off times
Smarters takes its time zone from the device rather than the account, so a tablet still set to another region will list every fixture at the wrong hour. Fix the device clock rather than hunting for a setting inside the app.
It broke mid-match: what to try, in order
Re-enter the channel first. Then switch the player engine in Settings, Player settings, cycling through the built-in player, VLC and FFmpeg, because different channels favour different decoders and this is the fix people most often miss. Then take the HD copy beside the 4K feed. Then force-close the app and reopen. Because Smarters runs on everything, you also have a fast diagnostic available: sign in on a phone. If the fixture plays there, the problem is the television rather than the account, and that answer takes thirty seconds to get.

Yes, on every platform, and it always has been. The confusion is that it opens completely empty: the app owns no channels and shows nothing until a subscription is entered as an Xtream login. No money changes hands inside the app at any point.

Because it is built for breadth rather than polish: one codebase covering seven platforms cannot look as good as one built only for Android televisions. What you get in exchange is the same interface everywhere, which is worth more than it sounds when you are talking somebody through it by telephone.
Which platform version is the best of them?
The Android build, by a small margin: it updates most often and handles a long list most smoothly. The Fire OS build is the same app and behaves identically once sideloaded. The Tizen and webOS versions are noticeably lighter and lose some polish, which is a fair trade on television hardware that cannot afford the polish anyway. The desktop builds are the most stable of all and the least used. None of them differ in what they can reach, because the account rather than the app decides that, so pick on the hardware you own rather than hunting for a better version.
