There is no 8K sport to watch. Not on this service and not on any other, because no league, broadcaster or promoter currently produces a live feed in it. That is an awkward thing for a subscription service to publish, and it is the reason this page exists: the query gets answered dishonestly almost everywhere else, and a provider willing to tell you what is not available is more useful than one willing to promise it.
What the number actually means
8K is 7680 by 4320, four times the pixels of 4K and sixteen times 1080p. The panels exist and are no longer especially expensive. What has not followed is production: cameras, outside-broadcast trucks, editing chains and satellite uplinks all have to handle the format end to end, and for live sport that whole chain has to work at a stadium, in the rain, on a schedule.
Resolution is also only half the picture. A feed's bitrate decides how much detail survives compression, and a generously carried 4K stream routinely looks better than a starved one at the same resolution. That is why the honest comparison is not 4K against 8K but well-carried against badly carried, which is a question about the provider rather than the format.
What providers are selling when they say 8K

Upscaling is not fraud in itself, and every modern television does it. Selling it as a resolution you are not receiving is a different matter, and on sport it is the easiest claim in this market to disprove: one panning shot across a crowd shows you whether the detail was captured or invented.
What your connection would need
Set the content problem aside and the bandwidth problem remains. A 4K sports feed wants a steady 25 Mbps. An 8K feed at a comparable bitrate wants somewhere between 80 and 100 Mbps, sustained, per stream.
That is achievable on a good line at a quiet hour. It is a great deal less achievable at kick-off, in a block of flats, when every household nearby is pulling the same fixture. As our sports page sets out, peak-hour capacity is already the hardest problem in this business at 4K. Quadrupling the requirement would not improve matters.
What is genuinely worth having
- A real 4K feed, carried at a high bitrate. Which competitions are actually produced in Ultra HD is listed on the 4K page, along with which are merely upscaled.
- An HD copy of the same channel beside it. Every busy channel in the line-up has one, which is what you step down to when a fixture pulls a crowd.
- Hardware that can decode it. The Firestick guide and the rest of the setup hub cover the decoder settings, which matter more than the panel.
- A wired connection for the big fixtures. The single cheapest improvement available to almost anybody.
Where this leaves an 8K television
Perfectly well, as it happens. An 8K panel upscales a 4K source and does it better than a cheap 4K set displays one natively, so the hardware is not wasted. What would be wasted is money paid for a subscription tier promising a format nobody produces.

Questions About 8K
Is 8K IPTV real?
The resolution is real and televisions that display it are real. What does not exist is the content. No league, no broadcaster and no pay-per-view promoter currently produces a live sports feed in 8K anywhere in the world, so there is nothing for an IPTV service to carry. Anyone advertising 8K channels is relabelling something else.
What are providers actually selling when they say 8K?
Almost always an upscaled 4K or even 1080p feed with the label changed. Upscaling invents pixels by interpolating between the ones that exist; it cannot add detail that was never captured. On sport, where the camera pans across a pitch full of fine texture, the difference between real resolution and invented resolution is obvious within seconds.
Will any sport be broadcast in 8K soon?
Isolated demonstrations have happened at Olympic Games and a handful of showcase fixtures, generally by NHK in Japan. None of it is a regular broadcast feed anyone can subscribe to. Rights holders have little incentive while 4K distribution is still incomplete, so this is a question for the next decade rather than this season.
What should I buy instead?

Does my 8K television do anything useful with a 4K feed?
Yes. An 8K panel upscales a 4K source and modern upscaling is good, so the picture is generally excellent, but what you are seeing is a well-presented 4K image rather than 8K detail. The panel is not wasted; the label on the subscription would be.
How much bandwidth would 8K need?
Roughly 80 to 100 Mbps sustained per stream, against 25 for 4K. Even where a feed existed, a great many domestic connections could not carry one reliably at kick-off, which is when every connection is under most pressure. The bandwidth problem alone would delay it independently of the content problem.
